Payam Hanafizadeh is an Assistant Professor of Industrial Management Department at Allameh Tabataba'i University (ATU), Tehran, Iran and a member of Design Optimization under Uncertainty Group, Department of Systems Design Engineering, University of Waterloo, Canada. He pursues his research in "Information Systems" and "Decision-making under Uncertainty". Likewise, he was a Visiting Research Fellow at the Faculty of Business and Government, University of Canberra, Australia in 2010 and  a Visiting Scholar at the Department of Systems Design Engineering, University of Waterloo, Canada in 2004. He holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Tehran Polytechnic University.  The results of his research appears in scientific journals such as: The Information Society, Journal of Global Information Management, Telecommunications Policy, Mathematical and Computer Modelling, Expert Systems with Applications,  International Journal of Information Management, Energy Policy, Journal of Information Technology Research, Higher Education Policy, Business Process Management Journal, Journal of IT Cases and Applications Research,  International Journal of Value Chain Management, International Journal of Enterprise Information Systems, International Journal of Healthcare Information Systems and Informatics, International Journal of Decision Support Systems Technology, International Journal of E-Adoption, International Journal of Operations Research and Information Systems, International Journal of Engineering Science, Transactions on Operational Research, Journal of Industrial Engineering International and also in many Iranian scientific journals.  Meanwhile, he  has been serving on the Editorial Review Board for the International Journal of Information Technologies and Systems Approach, the International Journal of Enterprise Information Systems,  the Journal of Information Technology Research,  the Journal of Electronic Commerce in Organizations, and the International Journal of Decision Support System Technology. In addition, he is the author of e-Commerce (2nd edition), Internet Advertising: New Opportunity for Promotion (2nd edition), Holding Companies: Definitions, Concepts, and Structures (1'st edition), Multi-dimentional Construct Research Method (1'st edition), and has translated e-Business and ERP, Rapid Implementation and Project Planning (by Murrell G. Shields) into Persian. He is also a member of Emerald Literati Network. It is noteworthy that  Dr. Hanafizadeh was introduced as the best researcher of Tehran province by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology and at ATU in 2007. He has seriously worked for developing Information Systems in Iran. He has been the executive of the national project entitled "Preparing and compiling ICT development indicators in Iran and proposing methods for collecting their statistics".
